3 Good Reasons for Hosting Your Conference at Hilton Coylumbridge

Posted by Hilton Coylumbridge, December, 2014

A conference can be so much more than just a long and boring meeting where relevant parties get together to sit around a table for one, two or more days. It can be turned into something more exciting that will allow participants to actually enjoy the conference and that way get more out of the whole experience – including better results!

Our events team here at Hilton Coylumbridge Hotel in Aviemore is experienced in organising all sorts of events, including formal meetings and conferences and less formal weddings and celebrations. Keep reading for our top three reasons for why you should consider Hilton Coylumbridge for your next conference.

Incredible location in Scotland

You can’t get away from how stunningly located Hilton Coylumbridge is. Being set in the heart of Cairngorms National Park against a backdrop of beautiful mountains and awe-inspiring scenery, you’ll struggle to find a more inspiring location for your business gathering. Aviemore is centrally located in the northern part of the Scottish Highlands, and the perfect base for visiting the Cairngorm Mountain, trying out the ski slopes and visiting Britain’s only reindeer herd.

You might think that the hotel is difficult to reach, but that’s not the case as Aviemore is well connected by rail and air. There are several trains every day from both Edinburgh and Glasgow, and Inverness Airport is only 40 minutes away, Aberdeen airport less than an hour away and Glasgow and Edinburgh airports 2, 5 hours away.

Fantastic team building activities

Aviemore is a hub for outdoor activities, but there is no shortage of indoor activities either for those inevitable rainy days. And since there is such a multitude of exciting things to do within a short distance of the conference venue it’s a great place for combining a boring seminar with stimulating team building activities.

So what exactly can we offer in terms of activities for you and your colleagues? We can’t list them all here, but to give you a taster we’ve got quad biking, climbing, mountain biking, kayaking, sailing, windsurfing, archery, river assault, high ropes, snow sports, whisky trails,  golf, reindeer centre visits and much more on offer!

We’ll do all the work

Organising a conference/team building event can be a bit of a hassle, especially if you’re not familiar with the venue or the location. Luckily our experienced events team can sort everything out for you and tailor a package that suits your needs perfectly.

We’ve got two rooms available; the impressive Cairngorm Suite that can host up to 800 guests and the smaller, more intimate Druie Room that can host up to 40 people. Both rooms come fully equipped with overhead projector and screen, WiFi, access to photocopier etc.

Your guests will also be well looked after food-wise. Our talented chefs can cater to both very demanding culinary wishes as more simple ones – we do everything from finger-food buffets to fully customised menus, it’s all up to you.
