Fun-filled festivals in the cairngorms national park
Join us for some fun-filled, family-friendly outdoor activities at Hilton Coylumbridge hotel near Aviemore this May, and explore the rich, picturesque natural environment of the Cairngorms National Park.
For those of you who enjoy the outdoors, there can be few more attractive travel destinations than the Cairngorms National Park, home to Scotland’s majestic Cairngorms mountain range, which stretches from Aviemore in the north-east Highlands to Braemar in the south-east and Glen Feshie in the south-west.
What better way to enjoy the region’s picturesque setting and rich natural environment this summer than by taking part in the Aviemore Walking Festival. Running from the 12th to the 17th of May, the festival features an array of organised walking tours, from undemanding ranger-guided strolls along the banks of lochs and rivers, to more arduous and physically-demanding hikes up some of the country’s tallest peaks.
It’s a great way to explore the majestic countryside surrounding the Hilton Coylumbridge hotel, before retiring to the comfort of the hotel for great food, fine wine and welcoming, family-friendly accommodation.
If you’re staying with us at the Hilton Coylumbridge later in the month, why not check out the ‘Wild about Boat’ Osprey Festival in Boat of Garten on the 25th of May. This fun-filled day of wildlife-themed activities celebrates ‘The Year of Natural Scotland’ – the 10th anniversary of the Cairngorms National Park – in the charming village of Boat of Garten, just fifteen minutes’ drive or a short, easy train ride from Hilton Coylumbridge.
Kids will love the Osprey Festival’s games, workshops and guided walks, while the whole family can enjoy live music, a BBQ, and the unveiling of the 4.5m Osprey Feather sculpture, one of the highlights of this year’s festival.
