Snowsports for spring

Posted by Hilton Coylumbridge, April, 2013

It may officially be Spring, but the Cairngorms National Park is still a Winter Wonderland, and a skier’s or snowboarder’s dream. Looking at its majestic peak from Hilton Coylumbridge hotel, Cairngorm Mountain is looking spectacular. While the snow cover looks amazing, the Cairngorm Mountain Team are working hard to clear the roads of snow. Looks like it is going to be a fantastic season for all you snow sports enthusiasts out there, so get yourselves up here.

Cairngorms National Park is at its most starkly beautiful under snow, and the range of activities at hand is at its most expansive. Even if you don’t wish to ski or snowboard down Cairngorm Mountain, you should ascend the mighty peak to gain majestic views across Aviemore, Strathspey and even further in Scotland. The peak can be easily reached via the mountain railway, which allows you to travel in comfort from the Base Station to the Ptarmigan Top Station.

Hilton Coylumbridge hotel is the closest hotel near the Cairngorm slopes, offering ski/snowboard lessons and hire available within the resort grounds, and even a drying room for clothes.

The Woodshed Bar is the perfect spot for après-ski this season, with BBQ's, local ales and beers all consumed in front of a roaring log fire. Discounted funicular tickets are also available from the hotel.
