Aquaculture in Aviemore for Industry Buffs

Aquaculture in Aviemore for Industry Buffs

Posted by Maria Mangion, May, 2018

We’ve never claimed to be special snowflakes (although we’ve got plenty of those around here in the winter season!), but the event happening in the next two weeks might just cement Aviemore’s reputation as one of the most important locations in the UK. We’re proud to be hosting Aquaculture UK – the biggest and most influential aquaculture exhibition and conference held in the British Isles.

This event is instrumental for any stakeholder in the industry – from entry-level professionals to key decision-makers all over the world – bringing them all together for two days of activities and networking that form new dynamic tissue within global aquaculture practices and policy.

When, Where, How to Attend

The event will be held on Tuesday 23rd and Wednesday 24th May. Free shuttle buses will run from Inverness Airport to the conference site and back again and you can view the time-table here. Aquaculture UK will take place at the Aviemore Conference Centre, with good air, road and rail transport links to the rest of Scotland and the UK.

All the action will be concentrated in Aviemore – our splendid Highlands town nestled in the bonnie wilderness of the Cairngorms National Park and itself a major aquaculture hub within the UK. The best part? Admission and parking are completely free of charge! All you need to do is to register for the event – at no cost, of course.
