Our resident Red Squirrels will be busily storing their nuts in the ground as they do every autumn πŸΏπŸ‚ Also, did you know that red squirrels moult their coat twice a year, once after winter and then in the late summer before the weather gets colder again.🐿
😍😍 How cute is Murdo? "Meet Murdo! He is a very friendly Highland Coo. He was hand-reared growing up after being rejected at birth. He stands guard to Castle Roy. Castle Roy is thought to have been built towards the end of the Norman colonisation of Scotland, probably around the time of William the conquerer. It is one of the oldest castles of it’s type in Scotland, unique in that it is largely unaltered, whilst most castles have been modified over the centuries" Thanks for sharing @Joemurphyphotography

The Devils Punch Bowl This scenic spot can be found at the Linn of Quioch near Braemar. From the bridge the round carved hole known as the Punch Bowl can clearly be seen just upstream, unless the water is very high. Local legend states that the Earl of Mar poured strong spirit into the punch bowl which was then used to toast the Jacobite cause in 1715.
